GITA (Gathering Italian Talented Artists)
is an acronym that in Italian means short trip or excursion – evoking discovery and movement.
The initiative aims to promote Italian art on the international stage and is conceived by artistic director Paola Clerico with curators Francesco Urbano Ragazzi and Ilaria Gianni.

GITA focuses on creating opportunities for Italian artists to connect with international curators in major arenas such as biennials, triennials, and other large-scale exhibitions. To make this possible, leading curators are invited to visit artists’ studios in Italy, initiating new and meaningful relationships.
GITA is tailor-made: curators are carefully matched with artists whose research resonates with their own, fostering authentic dialogue and affinities. Each trip thus becomes an exchange platform, creating authentic encounters and laying the groundwork for future collaborations. The program is made possible thanks to Pamina Foundation, Callie’s, and other donors and supporters.
